Managing information about the delivery of its school readiness program was a challenge for a Vancouver Eastside literacy non-profit called Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY).

Launched in 1999 in Vancouver, HIPPY delivers a program for the educational enrichment of preschool children at risk, and increases parents' awareness of their own strengths and potential as home educators.

HIPPY needed to track its success in order to make better program decisions and demonstrate accountability to its supporters. The non-profit turned to Third Sector Software Solutions Inc. for assistance and is now looking forward to an accelerated national expansion program of its services.

"We needed a software system to capture our service delivery information to justify program decisions and attract further support, and N-PAIS has done
this and more for us. In fact, N-PAIS is a key component in our efforts to expand into
other communities."

HIPPY Program Coordinator

With Third Sector's software, HIPPY is successfully tracking its literacy program to determine a number of trends, including how much time is spent to deliver the program to each family; which program areas are growing in demand; how service is being delivered to each family; and what the demographics are of the participating families.
